Anna Duggar: Josh's infidelity betrayed everyone 'who calls themselves Christian'

Reality star Anna Duggar addressed her husband Josh's infidelity in a clip released on Wednesday from her sisters' forthcoming show on The Learning Channel, People magazine reported.

"Not only was it a betrayal against me, but it was also a betrayal against those that call themselves Christian because here we were as a Christian couple," she said. "Everyone was able to see us get married and to vow before God to be loyal to each other, and that loyalty was broken. And so, for my heart, it was just broken."

The former 19 Kids and Counting co-star has kept out of the public eye since it was revealed earlier this year that, besides molesting several female siblings, her husband set up two profiles on the adultery-related dating site Ashley Madison, in addition to a fake Facebook account he used to contact women.

Josh Duggar was subsequently sent to a treatment facility. He is also currently being sued by adult film actress Ashley Stamm-Northup, aka Danica Dillon, who accused him of attacking her during an encounter this past March.

"I knew if I went off of what I was feeling, I would turn a mess into a disaster," Anna said of the allegations surrounding her husband.

Anna Duggar's remarks will be seen on an upcoming program spotlighting her sisters Jessa and Jill. Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, refunded donations they gathered earlier this year for what they described as missionary work in South America, despite lacking the qualifications necessary to perform it.
