The New York Police Department is investigating violent incidents that may have been sparked by the war between Hamas and Israel, ABC 7 reported.
One of the incidents reported involved two Jewish men who approached two other men holding Palestinian flags. They then grabbed one of the flags before hitting one man over the head with it. Another incident involved two teenagers who fired gel pellet guns at a Jewish congregation. They were later arrested.
An 18-year-old was allegedly assaulted when men waving Israeli flags confronted him and asked him if he was Palestinian.
The incident come as the city prepares or possible unrest in the upcoming due to a "Day of Action" protest organized by pro-Palestinian groups.
