Ashley Judd and other actresses accuse Harvey Weinstein of decades-long sexual harassment spree

Film producer Harvey Weinstein is now facing multiple accusations of sexual harassment that span decades.

The New York Times reports that multiple women have accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct during his long career as a producer, including actress Ashley Judd.

Judd told the Times that, when she first met Weinstein, he appeared to her in a bathrobe in a hotel room and asked her if she could either give him a massage or watch him take a shower.

“How do I get out of the room as fast as possible without alienating Harvey Weinstein?” Judd recalls thinking to the Times.

Elsewhere in the story, Weinstein allegedly promised a temporary employee named Emily Nestor that he would work to boost her career if she agreed to have sex with him. Weinstein also allegedly reduced a female assistant to tears when he asked her to give him a massage while he was naked.

Additionally, Weinstein in 1997 reached a $100,000 settlement with actress Rose McGowan, whom he had allegedly harassed during the Sundance Film Festival.

In total, the Times has found Weinstein has reached settlements with at least eight former employees who accused him of sexual harassment over the span of three decades.

"Across the years and continents, accounts of Mr. Weinstein’s conduct share a common narrative," the Times reports. "Women reported to a hotel for what they thought were work reasons, only to discover that Mr. Weinstein, who has been married for most of three decades, sometimes seemed to have different interests."
