Lev Parnas, who worked with Rudy Giuliani to build a Joe Biden conspiracy theory, claimed that the FBI knew in 2019 that their key informant was a liar.
Taking to social media on Monday night, Parnas responded to former New York Assistant Attorney General Tristan Snell, who called for an investigation into the communications top Republicans had with former FBI informant Alexander Smirnov, who is now accused of lying about a Biden bribery scheme.
The informant the House Republicans used to justify the impeachment inquiry into Biden was arrested last week and accused of lying to the FBI about his claims that Biden accepted a $5 million bribe.
Republican lawmakers like Reps. James Comer (R-KY) and Jim Jordan (R-OH), along with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), have been the loudest voices promoting Smirnov's allegations. Grassley still has the claims live on his U.S. Senate website.
It was also reported this week that the Department of Justice believes Smirnov was linked to Russian intelligence.
Snell said: "Jim Jordan, Chuck Grassley and James Comer were either duped by Smirnov and the Kremlin, or they were in on it. Either way, DOJ must subpoena every single communication Jordan, Grassley and Comer had with or about Smirnov and anything related. Immediately. TONIGHT."
That's when Parnas claimed that the FBI had known everything about Smirnov before Republicans even began their probe.
"The FBI had my communications with the CEO of Burisma since my arrest in 2019," he posted online. "The GOP received my communications with the CEO of Burisma during the first Trump impeachment in 2020. They all knew that the 1023 from Alexander Smirnov was a lie. Why did they continue this farce for so long?"
"Rudy Giuliani, John Solomon, Victoria Toensing, Pete Sessions, Devin Nunes, Ron Jhonson (sic), James Comer…. all knew they were working with information coming from Russian assets and refused to validate the information they received as long as it fit their narrative about Joe [B]iden!" Parnas continued
Far-right host Joe Pagliarulo replied to Parnas asking for "proof" of his claims.

"The FBI got the hard drive in '19. Did you forget that? You do NOT want to debate anyone with facts on his side. In 35 years in broadcasting, I've never lost a debate," Pagliarulo said. "You saying words on X proves nothing. Don't know why you're pushing what you know to be incorrect, but that's on you."
"When it comes to Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and Ukraine you don’t know your a-- from your elbow! You should read my book #ShadowDiplomacy and educate yourself before opening your mouth!" he wrote.
"Listen, Joe," Parnas continued, "if you want a lesson on what really happened with Trump, Giuliani, and Ukraine, I would be more than happy to debate this subject with you."
