'The the biggest con job on the face of the Earth': Tennessee Democrat drops the mic on Trump's entire time in office

Appearing on MSNBC on Sunday afternoon, blunt-speaking Tennessee Democrat Rep. Steve Cohen detailed all the ways President Donald Trump has enriched himself and his family since he was elected in 2016, calling it a "criminal enterprise run amok on the American people."

Speaking with host Alex Witt, Cohen explained that Trump has no interest in serving the public and is only interested in cashing in for as long as he can.

He took particular aim at Trump's involvement with the Saudis.

"In every action, he takes he's making money for him and his family," Cohen stated. "It's that type of behavior which was really never a vision to be this obvious and outrageous when the founding fathers put the Emoluments Clause in the Constitution. This president has asked for no permission and he's taken money from the Saudis in Trump Tower where they've got a big holding and at the Trump Hotels where they stay anytime they can. And he said publicly they have so much money, anything he had asked, they paid enormous amounts of money for his condos."

Adding, "Trump's interest trumps everything," Cohen later said, "We have about 17 or 18 sponsors for the impeachment of the president and one of the basis is Emoluments Clause violations both foreign and domestic."

"It's about the money he makes from taking money for the government for trips to Mar-a-Lago and charging our Secret Service for golf carts and food and you name it," he elaborated. "This is just a criminal enterprise run amok on the American people and the biggest con job on the face of the Earth."
