Bill Barr’s brain was 'eaten' by Fox News: Former DOJ spokesman

After Attorney General Bill Barr has so aggressively acted as President Donald Trump's defense attorney, some analysts have wondered why his current stint appears different than when he previously served as AG.

MSNBC legal analyst Matt Miller, the former chief spokesperson for the Department of Justice, offered a fascinating theory during a Wednesday interview with MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace.

After serving as AG for 14 months in the George H.W. Bush administration, Barr left office in 1993.

"So Jim Comey wrote, I think about a week ago, one of the consequences, one of the by-products of service to Donald Trump, is that you eat your soul or he eats your soul —- I don't know, the soul gets eaten, I don’t remember who eats it," Wallace said.

"Has Barr's soul been eaten?" Wallace asked. "Where's his soul, is it on the menu?"

"I think Bill Barr’s soul and his brain and everything else was eaten by Fox News years before he joined the Trump administration," Miller explained.

Fox News launched in 1996, three and a half years after the end of the H.W. Bush administration.

"I think he joined looking to do this for Trump, looking to end this investigation for Trump," he suggested. "That's why he was picked and he showed up and did the job."
