Bill O'Reilly's answer to trans restroom 'problem': Obama and Congress should watch 'Animal House'

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly pitched what he called the solution to the "problem" of trans-inclusive restroom access on Wednesday, Media Matters reported.

"President Obama, the Supreme Court, and Congress should all gather in the nation's capital and be shown the movie Animal House, alright?" he told guest Dennis Miller. "They should all have to watch the movie with your pal John Belushi, and then afterward we'll have a big discussion. Because there are differences between men and women, and people on both sides, there can be extremes."

"But just between me and you, Billy, 'cause we're friends -- I can't say the word, I get that," Miller replied. "But you know what the big difference is between men and women, right?"

"Men are usually better at chess," O'Reilly responded.

The Factor host opened the segment by showing a clip from a video released by the Family Policy Institute of Washington last month, calling it "a legitimate survey" of students at Seattle University.

He did not mention the group's history of anti-LGBT activities, like its claim in 2012 that same-sex parents were more likely to raise children who are more likely to "feel confused about their sexual identity," or its campaign this year to repeal anti-discrimination statutes covering gender identity and sexual orientation.
