Former Fox News host Dan Bongino is being called out for what one former GOP staffer has called an "open threat" against a fellow Donald Trump ally, Kellyanne Conway.
Bongino recently accused Conway, the ex-wife of Republican lawyer and anti-Trump activist George Conway, of "sabotaging" the former president's election chances. Bongino, who was ousted by Fox News, was caught being thrown out of Palm Beach restaurant last year.
It was reported on Wednesday that Bongino said to Kellyanne Conway: "You've been warned."

"There's a lot of internal sabotage going on right now," Bongino said, referring to a Daily Mail article. Bongino specifically suggested Conway was behind a campaign against Trump's V.P. pick, J.D. Vance. "This is getting tiresome."
"I've been hearing some things... I talk to people a lot who know a lot of things," Bongino said. He said the Daily Mail article was "bulls---."
"I suspect strongly this was a leak," he said, saying Kellyanne Conway is interested in a "money train" related to potential funding for Ukraine. "This is the Kellyanne Conway camp."
Kurt Bardella, a former staffer for Republican Senator Olympia Snowe and Republican Congressman Darrell Issa, spoke up against Bongino's comments.
"I’m no defender of [Kellyanne Conway] but this is an open threat that could only lead to violence and should be widely condemned by anyone who cares about the public discourse," he wrote. "This is not ok. It is downright disturbing and unacceptable."
S.V. Dáte, the White House correspondent at HuffPost, also chimed in:
"There’s apparently this Bongino guy who has some influence in the Trump Cult who is losing his mind over the rumor that Kellyanne Conway is trying to get Trump to fire Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles."
