Border Patrol agent arrested in Texas as a suspected serial killer

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agent Juan David Ortiz was arrest early Saturday on charges of murdering four women and abducting a fifth, the Associated Press reports.

Webb County District Attorney Isidro Alaniz said a woman he attempted kidnap escaped and alerted authorities.

Ortiz reportedly fled from state troopers before being arrested in the parking lot of a Laredo hotel.

Alaniz claims all the victims were involved in sex work.
