Morning Mika takes potshot at CNN's Jake Tapper during rant about Trump's 'depravity'

During an interview with Pulitzer Prize-winning author David Remnick on Wednesday, “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski took a potshot at CNN Jake Tapper over his book on President Joe Biden’s decline.
Speaking with Remnick, she sarcastically wondered when the CNN anchor will be publishing a similar book about President Donald Trump who has reached new levels of “depravity.”
Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson's controversial book about former President Joe Biden was widely panned after it came out in 2025, with one Democratic insider saying the longtime CNN host had “lost all credibility” because he ignored Trump’s decline.
On Wednesday, Brezinski brought up Tapper again.
Claiming Americans are living with Trump’s “depravity” in “real time," she fiercely stated, “It's the Republicans who will live with this on their records in history forever, unless they act.”
“And I'm just looking for Jake Tapper's book right now on Trump's state of mind and what's going on with that. I can’t wait to read it,” she sneered before moving on.
