Budget director explains Trump’s military fetish: ‘The president enjoys working with generals’

The Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Mick Mulvaney, downplayed the disarray the White House is reportedly experiencing in wake of major staffing changes.

In a Sunday interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Mulvaney said that he thinks will bring some discipline to the Oval Office. He blamed former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus for being too laid back in his approach to staffing.

"The President enjoys working with generals," Mulvaney said of President Donald Trump's new hire.

He also noted that the White house has an internal policy that nothing will progress until Trump's healthcare bill is passed.

"It is official White House policy that nothing should be voted on before health care," he told Tapper.

Mulvaney reiterated Trump's Saturday tweets saying that Obamacare is hurting Americans and he intends to threaten the insurance industry by withholding payments for those lower income Americans on subsidies. Trump also threatened members of Congress Saturday by claiming that he would take away their health care as well.
