'This is a byproduct of Trump': CNN panel drags Roseanne and calls out her history of bigotry

A CNN panel reacted to ABC's swift decision to cancel their hit show "Roseanne” after actress Roseanne Barr tweeted a racist joke about Valerie Jarrett, a former Obama White House aide.

In an interview with CNN's Brooke Baldwin, journalist Don Lemon and conservative commentator Tara Setmayer dragged Barr for her racist comments and called out her history of bigotry.

"She said similar comments about Susan Rice," Lemon said. "She made similar comments regarding the LGBT community. We remember what Roseanne did. She yelled out the national anthem and spat and grabbed her crotch."

Lemon said that "everyday racism" needs to be addressed.

"Roseanne will be okay. She has a ton of money. The little things that people get away with every day that this administration is normalizing, that's the thing we should be more concerned about"  Lemon said. "That is the lesson in this particular incident. Does it happen in your workplace? Are you treated the same as your colleagues as a woman, as a minority? Do you get paid the same as your white colleagues? Do you get the same opportunities as your colleagues? We've always known how Roseanne feels."

Setmayer said she has been a Conservative for over 20-years. She said Roseanne comments are a direct reflection of President Donald Trump, and called it the "Trump-effect."

"This kind of stuff is a direct byproduct of  Donald Trump," Setmayer said. "This is the world we live in. I've been a conservative for over 20-years and never received the kind of racist death threats and despicable things that I've seen since Donald Trump has been around. This is real."
