California man taken into custody for allegedly threatening to kill FCC chair Ajit Pai's family over net neutrality

A California man has been arrested for threatening FCC chairman Ajit Pai over net neutrality.

Markara Man, 33, of Norwalk allegedly threatened to kill Pai's family last December.

According to the charging documents, Man sent three ominous emails to Pai, one of which included a threat. One of the emails simply included a photo of Chairman Pai and his family.

The FBI confronted Man last month and he allegedly admitted to the FBI that he sent the email threatening Chairman Pai’s family because he was “angry” about the repeal of the net neutrality regulations and wanted to “scare” Chairman Pai.

Mann reportedly already apologized to Pai in a letter but is being prosecuted anyway with the possibility of getting 10 years in prison for the emails.
