Canadian paper busts Trump for making up stories about fake fans to tell at his rallies

As President Donald Trump attempts to repeal and replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), a top Canadian newspaper published a scathing fact-check.

The Toronto Star explained how President Trump talked about nine miners crying tears of joy. The next week, the same story was told but with eight steelworkers.

"Trump tells a lot of stories about his private interactions with people," the Star reported. "So although Trump is a serial liar, we can’t say for sure that he is making all of these stories up.

The newspaper then recounted a number of Trump's stories about people crying.

Trump's claims of tears from the head of a major company, farmers, business people, the parents of Korean War soldiers and the children of Korean War soldiers.

The paper noted Trump using tears to shame former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT).

Trump hasclaimed that members of special counsel Robert Mueller's team cried at Hillary Clinton's election night party.

The Star also pointed out that President Trump has claimed that he has not cried since he was a baby.
