The time has come to channel your inner Lysistrata, cat ladies, an enraged political analyst has declared.
Salon's Amanda Marcotte on Thursday issued a rallying cry to the woman scorned as "sociopaths" by Vice President-elect J.D. Vance (R-OH), arguing the time has come to stop having sex with his voters.
"Divorce your Republican husband," Marcotte wrote. "There's no time like the present to kick your Trump-voting spouse to the curb."
President-elect Donald Trump's male supporters condemned unforetold women to death when they elected a man who boasts of manipulating the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade and deny doctors the ability to provide life-saving care, Marcotte argued.
Seventy-eight-year-old Trump's decision to select as running mate a man who has openly called for restricting divorce laws — suggesting women should suffer being hit rather than separate children from their abusers — prompted Marcotte to urge speed.
"You might want to move quickly, before they come after that right, like they did the right to abortion," wrote Marcotte. "He's not going to see you as a person deserving full rights. Cut him loose."

No one should have sex with Trump voters, Marcotte added.
"There are already MAGA men fanning out on social media, declaring that this election means women no longer have the right to reject them," Marcotte wrote. "The good news is a swipe left or the word 'no' punctuated with a laugh will relieve them of this delusion."
Marcotte suggests other ways to resist the patriarchal shift in American values is to get sterilized, dress however you want and, if a woman really needs someone needy and lonely to care for — she should adopt a cat.
"Unlike men, who have agency and could have called a therapist instead of following Elon Musk on Twitter, lonely and needy cats are innocent and deserving of your love," wrote Marcotte.
"What you don't have to worry about is if your potential new pet voted for Trump or secretly believes Jordan Peterson makes good points," she then added. "Cats are 100% MAGA-free, which automatically makes them better."
