Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts took the unusual step on Wednesday of criticizing remarks made by President Donald Trump.
In a statement on the eve of Thanksgiving, Roberts condemned Trump's assertion that an "Obama judge" had ruled against his new migrant asylum policy, The Associated Press reported.
According to Roberts, the U.S. does not have "Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges.”
Roberts also said that an “independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for.”
