Chris Christie burns Jared Kushner in scathing new book -- and accuses him of orchestrating a 'hit job'

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is publishing a new book that pulls no punches when it comes to Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner.

In snippets of the book published by The Guardian, Christie blames Kushner for orchestrating a political "hit job" that led to his ouster from President Donald Trump's transition team, which likely also killed Christie's chances of getting a job inside the White House.

Christie alleges that Kushner still resents him for prosecuting his father, Charles Kushner, on charges of tax evasion and witness tampering back in 2005. The former New Jersey governor also says that he learned that Kushner was behind his firing from Steve Bannon, the former White House political strategist who informed Christie of his ouster.

"Steve Bannon... made clear to me that one person and one person only was responsible for the faceless execution that Steve was now attempting to carry out," Christie claims. "Jared Kushner, still apparently seething over events that had occurred a decade ago."

Christie's book, which is titled "Let Me Finish," is due to be released later this month.
