Kansas City civil rights groups ask DOJ to probe prosecutors’ role in wrongful convictions

Activists who have long called for a federal investigation into the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department have expanded their request to include the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office. Local civil rights groups, attorneys and community leaders asked the U.S. Department of Justice to examine unconstitutional policing practices in Kansas City about a year and a half ago.
