CNN conservative snaps at panelists to stop bringing up Trump when they talk about bad behavior

A former senior staffer to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) got angry at her fellow CNN co-panelists Friday when they brought up President Donald Trump's alleged sexual assaults when discussing allegations of harassment against former Vice President Joe Biden.

"I have confidence that the vice president is going to get it right," Jen Psaki, a former Obama White House communications director, said. "Donald Trump, though, on the other hand — look, I've always said people that live in glass houses should not throw stones, rocks, or bulldozers. And Donald Trump has no room in this conversation when he has not worked through being credibly accused of actual sexual assault. Nobody is accusing Joe Biden of sexual assault."

Psaki added: "I think this is a worthwhile conversation to have about the spectrum of what is and what is not appropriate and about consent and what not, but this is not the same thing as Donald Trump and I think we have to make sure we have nuance in our conversation when discussing that."

"Why can't Joe Biden just apologize?" Amanda Carpenter, the former Cruz staffer, mused. "Perhaps his staff should institute a Biden rule, don't touch someone unless they touch you. Unless someone nuzzles your neck first and sniffs your hair, you won't get in trouble if they do it first."

She later added that many younger women are critical of Biden in the wake of accusations against him by former Nevada state assemblywoman Lucy Flores and others because they'd prefer to see a female candidate rather than one who claims to listen to or represent them – but then appeared to get upset after Symone Sanders, a former Bernie Sanders aide, again referenced Trump's allegedly "predatory" behavior.

"Leaning on President Trump to excuse bad behavior from other people just gets really —" Carpenter said before getting cut off.

"To be clear, no one is excusing bad behavior," Sanders rebutted. "Everyone, all of the Democrats have consistently said, even Nancy Pelosi was like, look, don't touch people. Respect people's personal space."

"The president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has been accused of being a sexual predator, of sexual assault," the former aide to the Vermont senator's 2016 presidential campaign added. "Nobody is accusing Joe Biden of being a sexual predator or sexual assault."
