CNN is losing another familiar face just days after Christiane Amanpour announced her exit.
Anchor and senior global affairs analyst Bianna Golodryga said Thursday she is leaving the network after nine years, Deadline reported.
“After nine wonderful years at CNN, I’ve decided to leave for an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up,” Golodryga wrote on X. “I’m grateful for the experiences, friendships and support from fabulous colleagues during my CNN years. Exciting news to share very soon!”
A CNN spokesperson confirmed her departure, according to Deadline. Golodryga has co-anchored “One World with Zain Asher” on CNN International, and her final day on the show is Friday. She has not said where she is headed next.
Her exit follows Amanpour’s announcement on Monday. “I have decided to separate from CNN, my partner of 43 fantastic years!” Amanpour said in a statement shared by CNN, according to the Associated Press. Her CNN International show will move to a weekly schedule at the start of 2027 and end in May, with her departure from the network coming the following month.
Both exits come weeks after Paramount Skydance closed its takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery on Oct. 6, placing CNN and CBS News under one corporate roof.
Some critics on social media tied the timing of Amanpour’s announcement to the new ownership, which is led by David Ellison. Amanpour did not give her reasons for leaving. TheWrap noted that neither she nor Golodryga has publicly linked her departure to CNN’s ownership or leadership changes.
