Cory Booker just released confidential Brett Kavanaugh documents -- read them here

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) on Thursday released a set of documents related to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Among other things, the documents deal with Kavanaugh's views on the landmark Affirmative Action case Adarand Constructors, Inc. v. Peña, as well as his views on racial profiling in general.

In releasing the documents, Booker decried the entire confirmation process as a "sham" and said that there was no reason that these documents should have ever been marked "Committee Confidential."

"The public has a right to access documents revealing a Supreme Court nominee's views on issues that are profoundly important, such as race and the law," he said. "This process has demonstrated an unprecedented level of secrecy and opaqueness that undermines the Senate's Constitutional duty to advise and consent."
