Cornyn: Democrats trying to create 'health care gulag'

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) found some scary language to describe the Democrats' attempt to reform health care Sunday, telling Fox News' Chris Wallace that the Democrats' bill would result in a "health care gulag."
"It will limit people's choices to, in many cases, to a government-run program like Medicaid which is essentially a health care gulag, because people will not have any choices but to take that poorly performing government plan."
According to Cornyn, Medicare -- which serves tens of millions of Americans -- is a healthcare "gulag."
Democrats have backed off plans for an opt-out government run-health insurer, leaning toward an idea that would create the equivalent of the federal insurance plans offered to federal employees for average Americans.
