Crooked GOP operative at center of NC election fraud scandal just got ratted out by one of his own relatives

McCrae Dowless, the shady GOP operative at the center of the election fraud scandal in North Carolina's Ninth Congressional District, has just been ratted out by one of his own relatives.

In an interview with BuzzFeed News, North Carolina resident Jessica Karen Dowless describes how she saw McCrae Dowless' employees bring absentee ballots to his office, which is a flagrant violation of state election laws.

Dowless, whose husband is described by BuzzFeed as a "distant relative" of McCrae Dowless, said that the GOP operative would often employ drug users to help him collect and tally ballots in the county. Specifically, she describes one ballot collector as a "pill head," while claiming that another coworker "was so f*cking high the other day she passed out at the f*cking computer."

Dowless also tells BuzzFeed that her job involved tracking voters by racial demographics.

"I read emails and counted how many Republicans and Democrats and non-affiliated people voted everyday," she says. "I would go down each page and count how many black Republicans, white Republicans and I did the opposite, black unaffiliated, black Democrats, and add them up and then calculate the percentage of how many people voted that way each day."

Dowless also claims that NC-09 Republican candidate congressional Mark Harris was "writing [McCrae] checks left and right," although she admits that she never saw any checks from the Harris campaign firsthand.
