Elon Musk is causing "headaches" for Donald Trump as Republican lawmakers start to sour on the richest man in the world, according to a former GOP lawmaker.
Former Republican Rep. Carlos Curbelo (FL) appeared on MSNBC over the weekend, and was asked about Musk and the so-called Department of Government Efficiency.
"It's obvious at this point that Elon Musk and this whole effort is causing a lot of headaches for Donald Trump," Curbelo said, citing a recent report about a contentious cabinet meeting in which Trump officials pushed back against Musk's DOGE policies.

Curbelo went on to say, "A lot of members of Congress are frustrated."
"Once these stories become human, everything changes," he said. "It's not only these cabinet secretaries that have pushed back on the White House. There are a lot of Republicans, quietly for now, calling the White House and saying this is too much. This is inappropriate, and it has to change."
