'DANGEROUS': Trump rages at 'fake news' over Iran -- and immediately contradicts himself

President Donald Trump on Friday attacked the news media for its reporting on his administration's chaotic approach to dealing with Iran -- before immediately contradicting himself and saying that it was good to create confusion.

"The Fake News Media is hurting our Country with its fraudulent and highly inaccurate coverage of Iran," the president wrote. "It is scattershot, poorly sourced (made up), and DANGEROUS."

Even though he described media reports of his administration's Iran policy as "DANGEROUS," he then suggested that such coverage might help him by keeping Iran off balance.

"At least Iran doesn’t know what to think, which at this point may very well be a good thing!" he wrote.

Multiple reports this week have signaled there is a major fight going on within the Trump administration over what to do about Iran. Trump himself is reportedly upset because he believes national security adviser John Bolton is trying to set up a military conflict with Tehran.

Trump, however, has said that he would like to negotiate a deal with Iran to curb its nuclear program, even though he pulled the United States out of a nuclear agreement with Iran that had been negotiated by former President Barack Obama.
