After Beto O'Rourke officially announced that he's running for president in 2020, Donald Trump criticized his "hand movement" — and Twitter couldn't figure out what he meant.
"I think he's got a lot of hand movement," Trump said. "I've never seen such hand movement.
"I said 'is he crazy or is that just the way he acts?'" the president added. "I've never seen anything quite like it."
"This is a strange one," CNN White House correspondent Jeremy Diamond mused. "Few politicians are as well known for their hand movements as Trump."
Columnist Mary Chastain, meanwhile, joked that she's "officially triggered" by the quip.
"Us Italians use 80% hand movement, 20% words during conversations," Chastain tweeted.
