No dice: Levi Johnston won't go nude in Playgirl

Nada.

That's the amount of full frontal nudity Levi Johnston is going to show in an upcoming Playgirl.

Johnston, if you remember, is the telegenic boy-next-door ex-fiance of Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol, and the father of her grandchild, Tripp. Following Palin's failed vice presidential bid, Johnston became larger than life after a series of well-staged publicity events in which he offered the "inside gossip" on his onetime mother in law.

In an effort to further his fifteen minutes of fame, Johnston recently agreed to a photo shoot for Playgirl in which he promised to show it all.

Turns out, his campaign promises won't live up to reality.

In a statement to New York gossip blog Gawker, Playgirl spokesman Daniel Nardicio blamed Johnston's manager, Tank Jones, for breaking the pledge.

"He did not give 'full-frontal' as his manager Tank Jones reported he would. We're thrilled with the photos we got, and are confident people will love them," Nardicio quipped. "Although there may be glimpses, we did not get full on frontal nudity."

"That is very sad news indeed," Gawker commented. "Playgirl had one job to do: get a photo of that famous hockey stick and it failed to do so. Maybe ironically-named photographer Gregory Weiner couldn't make an intimate connection with his model and convince him to bare all. Maybe Tank Jones was trying to keep him covered to protect his client's image. Maybe Levi just got shy at the last minute and couldn't go through with it."

That said, the New York Daily News reported last week that Johnston does pose with only a hockey stick -- in a supposed tribute to "hockey moms," one of Palin's signature lines.

Johnston's Playgirl shoot received cold welcome from Palin on the Oprah Winfrey show Monday, where she mocked him as having an "aspiring porn career" and only begrudgingly extended a Thanksgiving invitation.
