As Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists across the globe celebrated Diwali, the festival championing the victory of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance, former President Donald Trump had a message to deliver.
It was this: Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden should be held responsible for recent looting and mobs in Bangladesh.
"Kamala and Joe have ignored Hindus across the world and in America," wrote Trump. "They have been a disaster from Israel to Ukraine to our own Southern Border, but we will Make America Strong Again and bring back Peace through Strength!"
While Diwali celebrants honored the holiday with early morning warm oil baths, firecrackers and the exchange of sweets and gifts with loved ones, Trump ranted on Truth Social about "the anti-religion agenda of the radical left."
Trump vowed to protect Hindu Americans and boasted of his friendship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Kamala Harris will destroy your small businesses with more regulations and higher taxes," Trump wrote. "By contrast, I cut taxes, cut regulations, unleashed American energy, and built the greatest economy in history."
Trump's financial boasts arrived the same day conservative magazine The Economist announced it would endorse Harris, arguing she posed less of a threat to the global economy and national security.
"We will do it again, bigger and better than ever before — and we will Make America Great Again," Trump wrote.
Then Trump — who forgot as president to include Hindus in his 2018 Diwali greeting — issued a message that appeared almost as an afterthought.
"Also, Happy Diwali to All," he concluded. "I hope the Festival of Lights leads to the Victory of Good over Evil!"
