Domino's pledges to fix America's crumbling infrastructure with 'paving for pizza' marketing ploy

Honoring three great American traditions in one fell swoop—unhealthy fast food, clever marketing, and the government's failure to invest in public infrastructure—Domino's pizza chain has launched a marketing campaign pledging to fix pot-holes in towns across America.

Customers can nominate their cities on the Domino's website, reports Yahoo Finance. Domino's says they'll come to their town and fix their potholes to  “smooth the ride home” for their pizzas.

”Have you ever hit a pothole and instantly cringed?” Russell Weiner, president of Domino’s USA explains, said in a press release. “We know that feeling is heightened when you’re bringing home a carryout order from your local Domino’s store. We don’t want to lose any great-tasting pizza to a pothole, ruining a wonderful meal.”

The fixed pot holes are then stamped with a Domino's logo and the motivational slogan "Oh yes we did."

The initiative is cleverly titled "Paving for pizza."

According to Yahoo Finance, Domino’s has worked with four municipalities, including Bartonville, Texas, Milford, Delaware, Athens, Georgia, and Burbank, California.
