A Democrat is mocking President Donald Trump's negotiation skills amid the ongoing government shutdown, asking "Donnie, did you lose your mojo?"
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) posted on X, teasing the president and questioning how his boasted business savvy isn't coming into play as the government remains closed.
"The guy who wrote ART OF THE DEAL and famously has said 'presidents take the blame in shutdowns' can’t negotiate us out of a shutdown. Donnie, did you lose your mojo? Or did you never have it?" Swalwell wrote.
He wasn't the only one mocking the president.
Others sounded off on social media.
"Donald, you're fired!" film producer David Grover wrote on X.
"Trump is taking advantage of the shut down to put thousands more Americans out of a job. But oh, the ballroom will be glorious," Kimberly Suth wrote on X.
Some even referred to his statements in 2011, saying that presidents should be blamed during a government shutdown.
"Here is Donald Trump saying the president should always get the blame if there is a government shutdown because the problem starts from the top and the leader is the problem," software engineer and pilot Alex Cole wrote on X.
