'Liars must be held accountable:' Trump threatens think tank

President Donald Trump launched a tirade on Truth Social Monday targeting the Center for American Progress and its donors.

The think tank published a report finding the National Guard deployments to American cities, costing approximately $1.7 billion, failed to reduce violent crime, The Daily Beast reported.

Trump specifically attacked Chandler Hall, the center's associate director for public safety, whose research found "no effect that violent crime actually did change post the National Guard deployments in any of the cities."

"How crazy is that," Trump wrote.

"Hall was met with furious dissent. The report is just another Radical Left SCAM, as are the people who fund this gaggle of Lunatics."

"This will be met with a lawsuit, which is being drawn now. I am also strongly considering adding some of the contributors to this Fake Organization," Trump added and named numerous donors including George Soros, Bill and Melinda Gates, Google, Apple, Goldman Sachs, and others.

He dismissed the report and declared, "Crime is way down since I took Office, and they know it. Liars, at this level, must be held accountable!"
