'I am illegally being targeted!' Trump deflects to Biden in new documents rant
July 15, 2023
Donald Trump on Saturday said he was being 'illegally targeted' by Jack Smith in the criminal documents case, despite previously saying he welcomes more indictments and that they represent a badge of honor and courage.
The former president took to his own social media site, Truth Social, just 30 minutes after announcing he was heading to "West Palm Beach - Turning Point" to see a "big crowd." In his latest posting, Trump appears to deflect questions about the documents he allegedly hoarded to President Joe Biden.
"Whatever happened to the Biden Documents Case? 20 times more documents than I have, and I’m allowed under the Presidential Records Act, he’s not," Trump wrote in repeating a claim about the PRA that Smith has said actually "borders on frivolous."
"What about the Classified Docs he had in Chinatown, and on his garage floor in Delaware. Is he being charged under the Insurrection Act?" Trump added in his post.

"What about Penn Center, which receives China money, or the 1850 boxes that he is not wanting to release? Was Obama, Clinton, Bush, or others so charged? No, only 'TRUMP,' because I am illegally being targeted!"
Trump didn't mention that the DOJ has said he had repeated chances to return the documents, as did other officials.
