Donald Trump: 'I wonder if they're setting up a little area in Cuba for the Muslim population'

Republican presidential front-runner Donald J. Trump on Tuesday reacted to bombings in Brussels by speculating that President Barack Obama's trip to Havana may coincide with "setting up a little area in Cuba for the Muslim population."

Speaking to Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo, Trump said that the attacks in Brussels were proof that failing to secure U.S. borders "is going to lead to just catastrophic problems."

Trump argued that the reason he was "leading on the Republican side by a lot" was because of his strong stance on border control.

Bartiromo pointed out that Trump had been the first presidential candidate to weigh in on the attacks on Brussels, and she said that she found it "interesting" that President Barack Obama had decided to hold a press conference later today during his trip to Cuba.

"Isn't it interesting that now we understand that President Obama will give a live press conference later on today?" the Fox Business host asked Trump. "He's probably going to discuss the terrorist attack from the brutal communist dictatorship of Cuba. So, what irony that is."

"I wonder how many Muslims Cuba is taking in every year?" Trump interrupted. "I wonder if they're setting up a little area in Cuba for the Muslim population."

Without pressing to find out how the possibility of Muslim camps in Cuba related to President Obama's visit, Bartiromo moved on to the next question.
