Donald Trump Jr. plans to 'use his influence' to expand GOP majorities in Congress: report

Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump, reportedly has a plan to increase the number of Republicans in Congress.

According to Axios, the president's son "wants to use his influence within the Republican base" to expand GOP majorities in the House and Senate.

Following the loss of West Virginia Senate candidate Don Blankenship (R), Trump Jr. has offered to help the remaining Republican candidate, Patrick Morrissey, by campaigning on his behalf, the report said.

Trump Jr. is said to believe that a pro-gun, anti-media agenda he calls "MAGA conservatism" can defeat Democratic candidates in West Virginia, Missouri, Montana and Indiana.

Axis also reported that Trump Jr. has hired Andy Surabian, who formerly worked with Steve Bannon, to provide strategic advice.
