Donald Trump threatens to take away security clearance for CNN commentator Phil Mudd after debate with Paris Dennard

It appears that after watching a debate on CNN between former CIA officer Phil Mudd and Paris Dennard, President Donald Trump took to Twitter.

"Just watched former Intelligence Official Phillip Mudd become totally unglued and weird while debating wonderful @PARISDENNARD over Brennan’s Security Clearance," Trump began. "Dennard destroyed him but Mudd is in no mental condition to have such a Clearance. Should be REVOKED? @seanhannity."

In a comment last week, Mudd joked he would be fine having his security clearance revoked because it would mean he wouldn't be forced to attend a meeting he wouldn't get paid for.

“The president can call us dogs, but he will never muzzle us," Mudd said last week. "The thing we served for, one of them was the right to speak in a democratic society. I don’t care about security clearances. This is not about security clearances, this is about people being told they cannot speak in a democratic society where we have the freedom to speak.”

Raw Story reached out for comment from Mudd but have not yet heard back.
