Trump judge is 'telling the world' what his plans are in just a single word: legal expert
January 23, 2024
Judge Lewis Kaplan changed a single word in a court order on Tuesday night that MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin thinks could predict how the jury will behave.
The word he changed was "lunch" into "meals." It's something small, but it says a lot.

According to Rubin, Kaplan "is telling the world, 'This jury could deliberate into the night — and I'm ok with that.'"
The damages trial has been on hold since Monday when Trump's lawyer, Alina Habba, revealed she'd been exposed to COVID-19. A juror also called in sick that day. Trump, who has claimed he will testify, couldn't be in court Tuesday due to the New Hampshire Primary Election.
The court was slated to continue on Wednesday, but that has now been put on hold until Thursday.
