President Donald Trump's nomination for Commissioner of Labor Statistics is reportedly coming to an end.
Last month, Trump nominated E.J. Antoni for the role after firing Erika McEntarfer for releasing economic data he didn't like. The nomination faced immediate controversy over Antoni's lack of experience and partisanship.
His nomination was thrust into further doubt after KFILE dug up old tweets linked to his accounts that included sexually degrading attacks on former Vice President Kamala Harris, derogatory comments about gay people, conspiracy theories, and other crude insults toward critics of Trump.
On Tuesday, CNN reported, citing three sources, that the White House sent documents to the Senate to withdraw his nomination.
The White House didn't immediately confirm the report to CNN.
