Eric Trump attacks Democrats after dad calls Stormy 'horseface': 'Lack of civility' is 'truly, truly horrible'

President Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump, on Thursday lamented the lack of civility in politics -- but he wasn't talking about his father.

During an interview on Fox & Friends, host Steve Doocy noted that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) "got hollered at in an airport" and two Republican candidates in Minnesota were reportedly assaulted.

"Has anybody gotten up in your face?" Doocy asked Eric Trump.

"The lack of civility is something that always bothers me," the president's son replied. "I mean, look at Eric Holder a couple of days ago, you know, 'When they're down, we kick them in the head.' Who says this?"

Holder's actual quote, "We they go low, we kick them," was meant as hyperbole.

Eric Trump continued: "Who does that? They are the first ones to say, you know, 'Trump, he promotes evil and he's racist and he's sexist.' And then you hear these people."

"It's truly, truly horrible," he added. "I mean, that lack of civility is really incredible. [Democrats are] the first person to point the finger, 'Hey, they promote hate, they promote violence.' ... It's horrible, it's absolutely horrible."

The hosts of Fox & Friends, however, did not ask about President Trump's long history of uncivil remarks, like his recent assertion that Stormy Daniels has a "horseface."
