Ex-aide Sam Nunberg admits Trump could be campaign official named in Stone indictments

Former Donald Trump campaign advisor Sam Nunberg told MSNBC's "AM Joy" host Joy Reid that the president may have been mentioned in special counsel Robert Mueller's indictment of Roger Stone.

In the indictment, on six occasions "senior Trump campaign officials" were mentioned by federal prosecutors.

One of those officials was directed to contact Stone, but the indictment did not identify the individual.

"After the July 22, 2016 release of stolen DNC emails by Organization 1, a senior Trump Campaign official was directed to contact Stone about any additional releases and what other damaging information Organization 1 had regarding the Clinton Campaign," the indictment read.

Reid asked Nunberg if that could refer to Trump.

"Could it be Donald Trump who instructed them in that later paragraph?" Nunberg asked.

"It could be, but I don't know, but yes, it could be," he explained.
