Ex-CIA analyst Phill Mudd told CNN's Jim Sciutto that if he didn't have a security clearance it would save him a lot of time and effort.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced during Wednesday's press briefing that President Donald Trump revoked former CIA director John Brennan security clearance — a move that has been debated as an "abuse of power."
However, Mudd had a different opinion.
"The last thing I am going to say, people like me are looking at this; you heard this a hundred times a day, do you think the president will intimidate us because of a threat we can't go to an unpaid meeting?" Mudd asked. "Thank god If I don't have to go to those. They're unpaid. Big deal."
