Ex-New York Times editor blasts Trump administration as a 'hospice where reputations go to die'

During a panel discussion with MSNBC's Ari Melber, former New York Times White House correspondent and executive editor Howell Raines, said that the reputation as the White House is becoming less credible with every passing day.

The FBI sized 12 secret recordings between President Donald Trump and his former lawyer Michael Cohen. One of the recordings was made available to the public on Tuesday night.

In defense of secretly recording President Trump, Cohen said that he needed the audio for notes.

"That kind of defense, I don't think is that good for a lawyer, I was secretly recording to take notes, most lawyers would say if you're doing something on behalf of your client, it doesn't need to be a secret," Melber said.

Howell responded by saying: "This administration and this particular episode had become a hospice where reputations go to die."
