Ex-prosecutor explains exactly why Kavanaugh is dodging FBI investigation: 'He's afraid of what Mark Judge will say'

Former federal prosecutor Cynthia Alksne watched the second portion of the interview with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and she made it clear the judge is afraid.

"There is no escape from his refusal to allow an FBI investigation and you have to wonder why," Alksne noted. "And the only answer I can come up with is he's afraid of what that FBI investigation would reveal."

She said that despite friend Mark Judge giving a statement to a Republican lawyer "for my buddy and we filed it," he has never answered questions from an FBI agent.

"I think he's afraid of what Judge is going to say," she continued. "I don't see how he overcomes that in terms of his credibility."

Another point she brought up was the sexism featured in the hearing. Kavanaugh yelled, screamed and cried, which Alksne said a woman would never be able to get away with.

"Can you imagine if a woman came to this hearing and had a temper tantrum and screamed and interrupted senators and behaved in the manner in which he has?" she asked. "She'd be taken out of the room in a straight jacket. And instead, because he's a guy it's acceptable behavior and the president undoubtedly will be proud of him because he's fighting back. But it does show the difference in the way we judge how people present themselves."
