Ex-Trump 'fixer' Michael Cohen has entered into a plea agreement with the feds: report

Former Trump attorney and "fixer" Michael Cohen has reportedly entered into a plea agreement with federal prosecutors in Manhattan.

ABC News first broke news of the agreement on Tuesday afternoon, although both NBC News and CNN both reported earlier in the day that such an agreement was in the works.

ABC News' initial report offered no details about what the plea deal involved or what, if any, cooperation Cohen is expected to give prosecutors. In fact, ABC News reports that it is "still unclear" whether Cohen plans to cooperate with Mueller at all.

Cohen, who was once one of President Donald Trump's most loyal allies, has had a falling out with his longtime boss in the months after the FBI raided his offices this past April.

The relationship with Cohen was seemingly shattered after it was revealed that Cohen had secretly recorded a conversation with Trump in which the two men discussed making hush money payments to a former Playboy model who was about to go public with an alleged affair she'd had with him.

Additionally, Cohen's decision to retain longtime Clinton ally Lanny Davis as his personal counsel was seen by some observers as a signal that he planned to turn on the president.
