Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ request for a protective order in the Georgia election racketeering case against Donald Trump, made after Jenna Ellis’ “knockout blow” video testimony was leaked to the media, has been approved, according to court records and reports.
Georgia Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee released his eight-page order Thursday morning on the heels of a Wednesday hearing, during which an attorney for co-defendant Misty Hampton admitted leaking the proffer video to the media, court records show.
"The likelihood of harm in this case is severe, as extensive media coverage guarantees broad dissemination of any disclosed discovery materials," McAfee wrote. "The Court finds that additional concerns at play here justify the entry of a protective order."
The order allows prosecutors to designate "sensitive materials" exchanged before the trial as confidential.
McAfee, whose order was published by The Messenger, is overseeing the election-racketeering case that originally accused 19 co-defendants of trying to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.

Ellis is among four people who have since pleaded guilty in exchange for evidence.
In the video leaked to ABC News, Ellis says that a staffer told her Trump was “'not going to leave” the White House despite losing the 2020 election.
Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges.
