Fani Willis has served notice to Trump what her 'endgame' is: Guardian reporter

During an appearance on MSNBC on Sunday morning, Guardian reporter Hugo Lowell suggested that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has put Donald Trump on notice that he can expect no plea deals or mercy and that she fully intends to see that he goes to jail.
Speaking with MSNBC host Katie Phang, Lowell elaborated on his report about a fiery exchange of emails between Willis and Trump's attorneys and said they set the stage for the Georgia prosecutor's "endgame" in the sprawling racketeering case related to accusation of 2020 presidential election interference.
''I think it was a particularly aggressive email chain," the reporter told the host. "I think the defense counsel was presumptive and I think it gives you an idea of what endgame the DA's office is envisioning."

"They intend to take it to trial and they intend for defendants to not be given plea deals and see it all the way through to the end," he added. "We had previously reported that Trump and Rudy Giuliani and Mark Meadows were among the people who the DA's office was not interested in pursuing plea deals with."
"If you kind of think about that and you think about the latest email in which they are saying 'well, we expect jail sentences in this case' it kind of suggests that those are the candidates they expect to send to jail," he added.
