FBI raids home of Florida white supremacist after he falsely claimed a connection to the Parkland shooter

After falsely claiming the Parkland mass shooting suspect was a member of his organization, Tallahassee white supremacist Jordan Jereb had his home raided by the FBI in connection to his claim.

The Tallahassee Democrat reported Wednesday that the bureau raided the home, which belongs to Jereb's mother, earlier in the day after attaining a search warrant that resulted in his arrest.

By the afternoon, local, state and federal law enforcement officers were seen carrying bagged items out of the house, including what appeared to be a computer tower.

Jereb gained national notoriety in February after the mass shooting in Parkland, located about 450 miles south of Tallahassee, when he said shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz was a member of his group, the Republic of Florida. The claim soon went viral before law enforcement and other neo-Nazis revealed that it was a hoax.

The self-described "right-wing extremist nut" has a history of arrests, the Tallahassee Democrat noted, including 2016 charges stemming from his threats on a high-ranking staffer in Florida Gov. Rick Scott's office.
