The FBI on Tuesday released a cache of documents about the Trump Organization after a Freedom of Information Act request — complete with heavy redactions and difficult-to-read text.
Ken Klippenstein, a reporter with The Young Turks' investigative news arm, noted on Twitter that the FBI had released the documents — and joked about how much information had been redacted.
In the 100 pages of documents, the bureau revealed that it had at multiple times beginning in the 1980's investigated issues related to the Trump Organization — many of which appear to have been brought to the FBI's attention by the company itself.
In one almost-entirely unredacted segment, the bureau summarized an incident, via a news article from 1994, in which Trump was angry that a man named Chuck Jones reportedly had nude photographs of his then-wife Marla Maples that were later stolen.
In the same article cited by the FBI, the bureau wrote that Maples brought the singer Michael Bolton "back to her room" after Trump left Manhattan for a trip.
