'F*ck cancer': Politicians and journalists rally behind John McCain after brain cancer diagnosis

Immediately after news broke that Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) had been diagnosed with brain cancer, journalists and politicians alike rushed to offer their condolences and support to the one-time presidential nominee.

"John McCain has been a fighter all his life and this is just the latest challenge. We are praying for his speedy recovery," McCain's colleague, Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) tweeted.

"If anyone can fight through this, it's your dad," journalist Mike Tracy tweeted at Meghan McCain. "All of AZ is rooting for him, our thoughts are with you."

"No matter what your party affiliation is, I think most of us can agree Senator McCain has sacrificed a lot for his country," journalist Yashar Ali said.
