'F*ck CNN': Viewers boycott CNN New Year's show en masse over Kathy Griffin's firing for anti-Trump satire

Some CNN viewers say that are eschewing the network's annual New Year's Eve show after comedienne Kathy Griffith was fired as host because of a satirical photoshoot that featured her holding President Donald Trump's bloody head.

Earlier this year, CNN terminated the longtime New Year's Eve host after photos emerged that was intended to echo Perseus holding the head of Medusa.

For this New Year's Eve broadcast, CNN has chosen to pair network star Anderson Cooper with Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen.

But that isn't good enough for many CNN viewers, who are lashing out on Twitter and vowing to boycott this year's broadcast.
