Feds snared Cohen using 'tactics used against the Mafia' -- and the 'loose ends' lead directly to Trump: Ex-Watergate prosecutor

Former Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks says that federal investigators snagged Michael Cohen using the same tactics used against organized crime -- and that the "loose ends" revealed link directly to "Individual One", also known as President Donald Trump.

"Tactics that are used against the Mafia were used against Michael Cohen," Wine-Banks said. "We don't know why they started the investigation but we do know that it involved bank fraud and money laundering. But it also involved the possible information that he was acting as a representative of a foreign government."

"It's a lot of evidence against him, none of it is linking it to the president," Wine-Banks said, saying investigations had a way of connecting the dots. "One thing leads to another and now we had information that linked him and crimes to the president, because remember, the indictment makes the president "Individual number 1," an unindicted co-conspirator."

"Once you start, it doesn't end," she went on. "That's the reason I also don't think the Mueller investigation is going away soon, because there's still a lot of untied loose ends that need to be fully investigated.
